lettera27 is a non-profit foundation. Its mission is to promote the right to literacy and education, and more generally to promote access to knowledge and information, all over the world and especially in deprived areas.

The clean, almost minimalistic concept behind the identity has created a simple yet intuitive communication. The website itself is a manifesto of the foundation's mission: designed to be accessible to low-tech users (in accordance with the World Wide Web Consortium guidelines), it sports a basic interface easily understandable to internet beginners.

The project was first presented at the Literature Festival of Mantua (Italy) in September 2006. Zetalab designed the exhibition stand, transforming the website navigation bars into physical objects such as walls and benches which
in turn communicated the foundation's messages. The stand was thus able to "expand" outside its boundaries and invade the medieval square where it was located.
